Tsurphu Monastery

Tsurphu Monastery was found by the first Karmapa Dusum Kyenpa in 1189 at his 80 years of age.  He is one of the students of Gampopa, the main disciple of Milarepa. Tsurphu has located about 80 km in the hills of the north-west of Lhasa.
